Casa Manini

MANINI family owned, managed, styled; Casa MANINI is a new beginning to an old family legacy - from Italy to Singapore.

Founded in the early 1900s by Chef and owner Fulvio Manini’s paternal grandparents Francesco and Lucia Manini, the family-owned Ristorante Manini was located in the enchanting medieval town of Bergamo located in the Lombardy region, north of Italy, in an area known for its unpretentious, wholesome foods amidst a heritage richly steeped in art and history. Francesco Manini was an architect who had built the impressive four-storey family home, from which Lucia ran the restaurant as Chef. Coupled with the deeply seeded passion for the La Dolce Vita – living the sweet life with good food, good wines and memorable moments is Chef Fulvio’s maternal family who are from Friuli-Veneto-Giulia, a region known for its gastronomy and breath-taking landscapes.

Today, Casa MANINI brings you the North of Italy in a simple, yet charmingly eclectic, artistic and homely setting, conceptualized, designed, styled and curated by Fulvio’s Singaporean-Chinese wife Fiona, while the Chef himself conjures up beautiful portions of mouth-watering, homemade dishes served with the warm hospitality much associated with the Italians. The piece de resistance at Casa MANINI is the classic beef and pork Lasagne, but there are also many other must-try dishes - lasagna in a spicy tuna sauce which is a favourite among their friends and the Rigatoni al Brasato di Manzo which is fresh rigatoni in a braised beef sauce. The menu is kept simple so that it can be updated more frequently with surprises for regular guests.

This charming 45-seater restaurant appeals to diners of all ages, from families who enjoy wholesome, delicious pasta and meat dishes to the well-travelled gourmand looking for Italian comfort food and digitally, social-media savvy millennials who are always on the lookout for Instagram-able moments.

We hope to welcome you soon and again to Casa MANINI and wish you Buon Appetito!
